Except for a pad under my computer mouse, I've never been much of a fan of other kinds of mats and pads. I can't count how many padded wrist rests are languishing in a closet when they got in the way and did nothing to ease my wrist pain (an upright mouse did the trick for the latter problem, BTW). But when I saw the pretty patterns in this desk mat, I grabbed the measuring tape next to my computer and crossed my fingers that it would fit. Happily, the dimensions - 23.6 inches by 13.8 inches - wasn't too big to fit the nonadjustable cubbyhole that contains my monitor, keyboard, mouse and a couple of drives.It looks very nice, which is certainly a plus; better still, I noticed immediately that it cushions the keyboard a bit and there's less of a click when I strike the keys. My mouse works more smoothly as well, so it's safe to say I'm a happy clicker (especially since I spend a good portion of my days in front of my computer). Since it's about four times the size of a standard mousepad and costs only about twice as much, it's a pretty good deal as well. Love it!
