There are lots of attractive mouse pads on Amazon. I kept coming back to this one because of the ombre color, which I'd call a soft robin's egg blue or Sleeping Beauty turquoise blue, but certainly not green. It is not teal or aqua, as it doesn't have that much green in the color. The fabric is oh so soft and silky, and a real pleasure to use. But with any fabric of this type, it could snag if your mouse has a sharp spot on the bottom, or the cat kneads its claws on it: a hazard for some of us. The wrist support is plump and has a wonderful soft gel that provides excellent support and maintains its shape, no matter how long your wrist is resting on it.I chose the medium size (about 9.75 in. long and about 9 in. wide), and it's perfect. The medium size is a little bigger than a dessert/bread plate, with a nice curve to its shape. The surface area for your hand and mouse is plenty roomy, although if you are male with large hands, or use a very large mouse, you would probably prefer a larger size. I liked the look of the rectangular option, but my work space is a little too compact for that size. If you know that you like a larger mouse pad, then go for a larger size.Some reviews talked about the backing being a little tacky. So I left the protective plastic on the back of the mouse pad, and that resulted in the mouse pad sliding all over the desk. When you take the protective backing off, it will be a little tacky initially. But as it sits on the desk, and you move it, the tackiness disappears and you have a backing that stays put on the desktop. Yes, it's going to pick up dust, lint, crumbs, etc. initially, so give your desk a swipe to clean it off first. Without the grabby backing, it would slide anytime you moved your mouse.What sold this pad to me is the motivational saying, and you won't go wrong there. I look at the mouse pad all day long as I'm working on my computer, and it is a simple, subtle nudge to get to work towards the life I want to live.I am a long-time Amazon customer.
