I needed a really small mouse pad and I got this in grey black marble, which I think is just stunningly cool looking and fits my taste and decor great. I don't have a lot of space and don't need a big mouse pad and this works fantastic. The pad is smooth, and paired with my new Logitech MX Anywhere 3 mouse I have never enjoyed a mousepad and mouse so much. I got another pad for my work computer. Incidentally, if you like the grey black marble pattern, the Logitech MX Anywhere 3 (which is an amazing mouse-check it out too) in "white" is actually a whitish beige and almost the identical color of the top and bottom background color of this mouse pad-they look great together! Summary, this is a great mouse pad if you want a small mouse pad, works great, great value for the price, and you can pick a color pattern that suits you (and your mouse).Yes this style is small and finally, I got a size that works best for my setup. I have my laptop on a fold up table next to my bed and do not have a lot of room next to it for my mouse pad and most I have bought end up having a part of it tucked under the lap top being that it is too big. This is perfect. All I need it for really is to move my mouse around a bit so I am extremely happy with this purchase being the size that it is and also the patterns I got are very nice to look at (not cheap looking in any way).
