Works for what I need it just regular use NowGAMING for meSo far, so good on a day and a half of using my new mouse pad from Vankey. I don't spend super long hours on my home computer, but I really wanted the wrist support & improved positioning, to AVOID the occasional wrist discomfort and the potential for bigger orthopedic problems. The other big advantage is that it keeps my distal forearm off of the desk's surface; during the warm parts of the year and when I'm wearing short sleeves, sweating between my arm and my Birch wood office desk is not only uncomfortable but has also affected the finish of the desktop in that spot. With my arm off the desk the new mouse pad will help this problem from getting worse.Besides being more comfortable than when using my old mouse pad, my bluetooth magic mouse is working perfectly/smoothly on the Vankey; that was my primary concern, since without smooth and reliable tracking this pad would have been completely useless to me.The backing is more tacky than my old pad (it has more of a silicone feeling and is smooth; the old pad's backing was more of a textured rubber). I'll be checking it closely, and if I find it to be damaging my wood desktop in any way I will come back & edit this review accordingly. In any case, my old pad didn't slide at all, so I cannot imagine this one moving during normal mouse usage.The edges on this pad are perfect. The top surface seems to round over the edge prior to attaching to the silicone bottom; it seems less likely that the 2 layers might fray and separate from each other, as might two layers simply glued together, one directly atop the other.My only complaint would be that this pad could stand to be a little bit larger, especially for gaming purposes. My old rectangular pad is 10 inches wide x 8 inches, or 80 square inches. IF this Vankey were squared at the corners, the usable surface (ie excluding the part that is the wrist support) would be 8 and ¾ inches wide x 7 inches, for an area of 61 square inches (though it's actually less, being round in shape). This is something to consider if you play a lot of games and need a larger travel surface for your mouse.I'm not a huge gamer, so this mouse pad fits my needs, and overall I'm quite happy with the two primary upgrades it provides me.Replaced a truly deep-down grimy mouse pad of similar design that my spouse had for years and years. They seem to have no complaints!While no mouse pad can be great, most things marketed as mouse pads have issues. Few of them stay firmly in place, or are made of durable material. Many are too small. Many don't support good mouse feel and response. Many have no wrist support, or support that is too hard or too soft or the wrong shape.All I can say is this mouse pad gets it all right. It's not rocket science, just a well-made mouse pad that does its simple job properly.Ordered this gel wrist pad to replace one that I have used for many years. This is very comfortable; the center area where you rest your wrist is slightly lower than the edges so it cradles the wrist well. The integrated mouse pad is nice since it doesn’t have a separate section that can get away from the wrist pad (that was an issue with my old one that this design fixes). The black color will not show oils from the skin that get deposited over time.There were no instructions, but after opening the package I noticed an extra layer of plastic to remove from the bottom of the mouse pad. It does NOT have any adhesive but “feels sticky” even though it does not leave any residue. It is just a very soft rubber material that is very skid resistant. It would be nice if they included a note to clean your desk of any dust before placing it as any dust or dirt will become imbedded in the bottom that it touches. There is no way this thing will slip and slide it has impressive contact with the desk surface underneath.Very comfortable and the height of the wrist pad is just right to keep my wrist at the perfect angle to not injure my wrist during long computer sessions. Would definitely recommend or buy as a gift.The gel on the pad is nice. It really supports my wrist while working for several hours on the computer. The back has a non slip texture so the pad says put. Really minimizes the stress on the wrist.Ahhhh. This mousepad is just what I needed. The wide wrist cushion is comfy yet firm. The pad itself is spacious and stylish with a non skid back that stays put without adhesive. Perfect for extended computer use that used to leave my arm and wrist achy. This is a quality product that I expect to use for years to come.This is a well-made mouse pad with ergonomic wrist support.It has helped easy my carpal tunnel issues tremendously while spending long stretches writing at my computer. I should have bought this a long time ago.
